Waking the Body - a series of workshops

A series of movement workshops, facilitated by Angela Kennedy on the body in space, with one another, the earth.
Using principles of Body-Mind Centering, Release and Authentic Movement, we will use our imagination and the experiential to explore articulation and the joy of moving.
Suitable for beginners and practitioners wanting to deepen their body based practice.


Please wear warm loose clothing and bring a mat or blanket and appropriate footwear for outdoors workshop in June.

10.30- 4.00 pm with a break for lunch.

Saturday 28th March: Waking the Body – Will focus on proprioception through the skeleton system, articulation and effortless movement; including drawing responses.

Sunday 3rd May: Dancing the Horizon – Patterns of movement, moving from our Organ system, the breath and writing the body.

Saturday 20th June: Forest of Light – Midsummers Day; exploring embodiment and colour through walking the senses and stillness; drawing/writing and movement responses. This workshop will be in Chopwell Woods, NE39 1LT.
